Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. It’s a full body workout. Many barre classes can also be modified so they are a safe workout option for pre or post-natal clients. Barre workouts are also a good cross-training option to pair with other exercise like running, weight lifting or cycling. They strengthen the muscles needed for these exercises whilst being low impact.

What to expect 

The class begins with a ballet barre and uses classic dance moves such as pliés alongside static stretches. We move to the centre for a cardio section with easy to pick up choreography. The class ends on the mat targeting the core, before a yoga-inspired cool-down.


Please bring your own yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes to move. I recommend pilates / grippy socks at the barre if you do not have ballet shoes.
