Premiere of new song composed by Cheryl Camm

We moved here in October 2016, knowing no-one, having gone through a stressful sale, and about to embark on a restoration mountain. I was going stir crazy and within 2 weeks I was googling arts activities in Haltwhistle. Fortunately I found a choir met every Thursday at Holy Cross Church, then led by Bridie Jackson. The Hadrian's Singers took me under their wing and now I would not miss my weekly sing. Engaging the local community in what we are doing is really important and our long term plan is to have a series of workshops for local communities as well as attracting national and international visitors outside. Singing workshop with Cheryl Camm and Kathryn Davidson

We are running a series of complementary artistic activities alongside presenting the art work in the barn. On 14th July we are hosting a day of singing led by accomplished and skilled choir leaders Cheryl Camm and Kathryn Davidson. We are doing this in partnership with community choir, the Hadrian Singers who meet at Holy Cross Church in Haltwhsitle. Starting at Gilsland Village Hall participants will start the day with a warm up, participate in learning new songs and music making and round the day off taking a 15 minute walk / short drive to Green Croft along Hadrian’s Wall National Trail, visiting the installations and enjoy tea, coffee and cake from the onsite cafe The Bait Box.
