New Commission - Northumberland Winter Festival 2020

Green Croft Arts have been successful in their Northumberland Culture Fund application for a digital commission for Northumberland Winter Festival.

Living on the Edge will be an immersive soundscape composed by Kit Haigh and produced by Amanda Drago.

The visual soundscape will use the voices of people’s experience of living on the edge of West Northumberland; geographically, mentally or physically and explore themes of community and loneliness. Through a series of Zoom coffee mornings, we will record people’s experiences of living in rural West Northumberland. Voice artist, Kathryn Beaumont will bring these voices to life and incorporated into a visual immersive soundscape using the breathtaking landscape of our location (Walltown Crags and Hadrian’s Wall) as a backdrop. The project will launch on 10th October 2020 for Mental Health Awareness Day and premiere on the 4th February 2021, Time to Talk Day.

If you would like to take part in the coffee mornings then contact Amanda Drago 0n 07944 994405 or email info@greencroftonthewall.com
