Experience: Suitable for all abilities

Group size: The workshop runs with between 8 - 10 participants per session.

In this workshop you will create a mini textile landscape inspired by our surroundings. These textile landscapes are made from layering small pieces of fabric and incorporate hand embroidery. You will learn how to use textured yarns and hand embroidery to embellish your landscape. All materials and equipment are provided

Kates inspiration primarily originates in Northumberland and Cumbria where she explores the textures of nature and to inform her textile art.. Textured fabrics create the foundations for Kates embroideries, hand dyed fabrics are used to create the textures and hand painted threads are embroidered into her work to add definition.
