About the Event
Join us this May Half Term for a magical, creative morning at The Threshing Barn
What to Expect
✨ Gentle yoga and movement
✨ Imaginative storytelling
✨ Hands-on traditional crafts
✨ A relaxed, welcoming and creative environment
Inspired by local tales of Bogles on Thirlwall Common, this imaginative workshop invites children to explore story, movement and making. A Bogle is a mischievous spirit or ghost from Northumbrian and Cumbrian folklore, known for haunting lonely paths, marshes and old barns, often playing tricks on unsuspecting travellers. Through a blend of yoga, movement, creative storytelling and traditional crafts, children will step into a world of folklore awakening curiosity, creativity and play.
Led by experienced practitioners Amanda Drago and Em Switzer, the sessions are designed to be welcoming, playful and accessible, with space for children to move, imagine and create at their own pace.
