If the answer is YES please read on!

Green Croft Arts are planning Trailblazer, a festival of electronic sound, sci-fi, dark skies inspired by electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire. Delia was most well known for her realisation of the Dr Who theme tune and this year will be its 60th anniversary. We have commissioned choreographer and musician Victoria Macarte to create a new dance film, Into The Glisk, inspired by Delia and her connection with Cumbria. Victoria would like the film to feature a cast of women.

For those interested in participating Victoria is a leading a Walk, Dance & Film Day. You will meet at Hallbankgate Village Hall for a warm up and introductory session, then go to RSPB Geltsdale for a walk and dance trail which will be filmed, before returning back to the village hall for hot drinks and snacks. Images from the day will then be edited and special effects added to make a short sci-fi inspired dance film.

It is FREE to take part, no dance experience is needed, just comfy walking gear and the willingness to experiment and have fun!

Into The Glisk will premiere at the Trailblazer Festival at The Sill on 25th / 26th November 2023 and then will be shown in an exhibition at RSPB Geltsdale during December 23 and January 24.
