3 hour workshop

Materials will be £15pp to include postage and packaging. 

Join Nat Yates, Northern Sky Design to create a fused glass piece inspired by our beautiful Northumbrian landscape suitable for all abilities.  

In this workshop, we will learn about the basics of this craft, learn to cut glass, plan and design your piece and make your own individual work either in abstract or realistic form. We’ll focus on colour and form using glass sheet, frit and pre-made powder shapes to help create a unique work. The piece will be taken away, fired and shaped and returned to you after.

Northern Sky Design is a glass studio based in Rowlands Gill. I create fused glass work and printed designs based on the beautiful landmarks of the North East and sell my pieces throughout the region in galleries gift shops and at markets and fairs. I also love delivering workshops and inspiring others through the use of colour to create your own unique glass pieces.

• £15 materials charge to bring in cash payable to Nat on the day. This includes all materials, firing fee and package and postage of the final product to you. 
• Please wear closed toe shoes and long sleeved tops.
• For those who have issues with fine motor skills, the workshop can be tailored to make this more accessible and suitable for all. Please contact us before the workshop and we will help to facilitate any access needs.
