We started with equal breathing which helps calm the mind and release stress. We then focused on the body mobilising all the joints. We have been working on a new seated dance routine to September by Earth Wind and Fire and added new moves to the chorus having worked on the verse last week. We also did a bit of strengthening and balancing standing exercises for the legs before finishing on some new hand exercises especially good if you have arthritis. Enjoy!!

This class mixes Chair yoga, seated dance and relaxation. The class begins with a gentle all over warm up for the joints as well as waking up and strengthening our core. We go over our dance sequence to We Are Family that we have been working on for the last 3 weeks. We lift the energy a bit and it's a bit of a work out. We finish with some strengthening and balancing poses.

We do a great quad stretch before coming up to standing for Chair pose and a few standing balances including Tree pose where we explore where our weight needs to be to balance. We do some lunges before coming back to our seat for relaxation. The video looses the sound suddenly during the relaxation so allow yourself to end your own mediation when you want.
