Ceyda Tanc Dance in Residence at The Threshing Barn

From Monday 1 – Friday 5 September 2025, the acclaimed Ceyda Tanc Dance Company will be in residence at The Threshing Barn, developing their bold new work KIZLAR for village halls and rural touring. Known for fusing contemporary dance with traditional Turkish folk culture, their work is dynamic, physical, and full of energy.

On Thursday 4th September at 4.00pm the company will be sharing what they have been working on to an invited audience. If you would like to come and see the sharing then contact Amanda on info@greencroftonthewall.com

After this summer’s residency, Ceyda Tanc Dance will return in March 2026 to perform KIZLAR at Gilsland Village Hall with Highlights Rural Touring — we can’t wait to welcome them back!

Green Croft Arts are the Highlight's Rural Touring Promoters for Gilsland Village Hall presenting dance, theatre, music or family shows in the Spring and Autumn season. We also act as the Rural Touring Dance Initiative Ambassador for the north. The Rural Touring Dance Initiative (RTDI) is a UK-wide project that helps dance artists perform in rural spaces.
