We offer and promote a range of arts, cultural and wellbeing classes, workshops, performances and exhibitions inspired by the landscape and heritage of where we live and work.

About Us 

Green Croft On The Wall is a 17th century farm steading just outside of the village of Gilsland. The farmhouse sits on the line of Hadrian's Wall and we are nestled between the border of Northumberland, Cumbria and Northumberland National Park. The farmhouse is the home to Green Croft Arts led by Amanda Drago & Kit Haigh. During the summer months we programme activities, workshops and exhibitions in The Threshing Barn and garden adjacent to national trail. If you are an artist, a creator, a tutor or looking for volunteering opportunities we would love to hear from you!

WHAT WE DO

CLASSES
& WORKSHOPS

We offer regular  arts and wellbeing classes  and workshops in Gilsland, Haltwhistle and Alston as well as at Green Croft On The Wall our base. These are delivered by a range of artists and practitioners.

PERFORMANCE
& EXHIBITONS

We create and tour performances, installations and exhibitions across the north east to galleries, museums and theatre venues. 

HIGHLIGHTS
RURAL TOURING

We are the promotors for Gilsland Village Hall, partnering with Highlights Rural Touring to bring high quality dance, theatre, music and family shows to our local village hall.

THE THRESHING BARN

The Threshing Barn is an 18th century barn adjacent to Hadrian's Wall National Trail. During the summer we host workshops, day retreats and activities from the barn and gardens. You can hire the barn.
