Amanda Drago

8 Apr 2024

Dancers needed for an exciting R&D project developing methodologies for creating dual-sited performances using high-speed video links, motion capture and virtual reality.

DANCERS for WOW+FLUTTER, a new research by Gibson/Martelli.

North East & London - England

Bruno Martelli & Amanda Drago seek four dancers to research a new project that explores creating new performance 'spaces' using state-of-the-art virtual production techniques to develop methodologies for creating dual-sited performances, connecting North East(PROTO) and South East England (TARGET3D). At both sites, two performers connect using high-speed video links, motion capture and virtual reality. We are looking for performers to work with us - no prior experience of virtual production is necessary. We seek open-minded performers to improvise, devise material and share their experiences over several sessions. The latter stages of the project will involve testing live performances with invited audiences. Dancers are paid at industry rates for the research period.
