Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy yoga is a form of gentle yoga that is designed to complement the growing needs of a pregnant body. The focus is on restorative poses that keep you safe while practicing movement, stretching, deep breathing, and mental centring.

My pregnancy classes are nurturing and inclusive and designed to support you and your well-being as your body changes through pregnancy. Classes are small and friendly so you can meet other Mums-to-be and share the experience of being pregnant. Yoga is a great way to maintain a healthy mind and body. Pregnancy yoga can help to

  • Improve sleep

  • Reduce stress

  • Increase flexibility and endurance (great for labour!)

  • Reduce lower back pain

  • Decrease nausea.

  • Plus pregnancy yoga can help develop the bond between mother and baby.

Pregnancy yoga classes follow the same structure as a normal yoga class but are tailored to mother and baby providing you with the tools to prepare for birth and beyond. We will begin the class with pranayama or breathing and will offer a range of calming breathing techniques. During the classes, you will learn safe and healthy ways to stretch and strengthen your muscles and postures to improve your balance and circulation. We will end the class with a relaxation.
